Job Title: Logistics Analyst
Position Summary:
The Transportation Manager is a key member of the Planning and Logistics team. This position works closely with inbound and outbound transportation providers, our warehouse team, and other internal teams as needed. This position is accountable for the merchandise flow from our overseas vendors to our warehouse and finally to our end customer. The ideal candidate will be analytical, have a keen eye for detail, and provide insights and recommendations while working with others to advance company initiatives and meet supply chain metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute the Transportation Strategy, delivering operational excellence for all modes of transport (ocean, truckload, LTL, and parcel)
- Lead cross functional, continuous improvement initiatives to achieve service and cost targets
- Data analysis development and KPI monitoring, identifying trends and opportunities to drive improvement
- Carrier and broker relationship management; Perform negotiations including annual RFQs
- Collaborate with warehouse operations team to ensure visibility, issue resolution, and cost-saving tactics are developed
- Supply our US Customs broker with necessary documents to complete US Customs clearance in a timely manner
- Own CTPAT renewal process and ensure company-wide compliance
- Ensures seamless integration between Customer Service, Sales, and Warehouse Operations to facilitate internal and external customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field a plus
- 3-8 years of domestic transport and international ocean/air freight imports experience
- Strong understanding of applicable Customs laws, regulations and other government requirements
- Familiarity with HTS Codes for imports
- Proven ability to establish or enhance ocean import/export operational functions
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Position Summary:
Mud Pie is currently seeking an experienced accountant to assist with general accounting and finance operations. Successful candidates will be passionate about accounting/business/numbers and possess a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial transactions within an organization.
This is a newly created role on a growing accounting and finance team.
This position will report directly to the VP of Finance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct any errors as needed.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with managing corporate credit card program
- Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all general ledger accounts.
- Assist with preparing and presenting monthly financial statements
- Prepare special financial reports as requested by management
- Assist with AP/AR as needed for special projects
- Will cross train with all members of the finance team (Credit, A/R, A/P)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Corporate accounting or finance experience
- Strong debit and credit skills and attention to detail
- Ability to quickly and succinctly analyze and summarize financial information and trends

Job Title: Merchandise Assistant
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Merchandise Assistant to join the Mud Pie team. This position will support the Home division.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize samples for all divisions
- Check the samples in when they arrive
- Tag samples with pricing
- Update styles in system with the sample image
- Ask suppliers for tracking information when missing
- Oversee market samples organization
- Organize and pack photo samples for catalog team for all divisions
- Send all FedEx shipments to suppliers
- Run Competitive Pricing
- Keep record of pricing found in the market place to help ensure we are offering products at a competitive price
- Maintain Line sheets for all divisions
- Assist with item setup including HTS codes, ATS Category and Tax Codes
- Assist Technical Designers with measuring as needed
- Research new design ideas for all divisions
- Mark up catalogs with sales information
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Excellent organization and communication skills

Internship Program
Program Details
Program Description:
Mud Pie offers a 10-12 week summer internship opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in the wholesale import, product development and e-commerce industries. Interns work with specific departments within Mud Pie that match their coursework, experience and career interests. During the internship, students will work closely with Mud Pie employees, including senior staff, to complete a variety of practical assignments that will put students on the path to professional success. Interns will also be able to participate in professional development workshops, lunches with company leadership and other activities held over the course of the summer.
Eligibility:
In order to be eligible for the Mud Pie Internship Program, interns must be full-time students actively working towards a graduate or undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university, with at least a 3.0 GPA. Undergraduate applicants must have completed at least six semesters of undergraduate coursework. Interns will need to bring their own laptop.
Compensation:
Mud Pie is proud to offer paid internships. Interns will be paid at an hourly rate.
